Questions & Answers for Donors

How can I make my donation?
We accept donations by check, cash and credit/debit card. Donations can be made by mail, online and at the box office. Instructions are noted below for each method of donation.

To Donate by Check:
Please make your check payable to the order of Blueberry Pond Arts Center. Mail to: Blueberry Pond Theatre Ensemble, 235 Cedar Lane, Ossining, NY 10562. If not included on your check, please leave us your mailing address so we can send you a donation verification letter for your taxes. If you would like your donation specifically used for our Youth Program, please include a note telling us that.

To Donate at the Box Office:
Our box office accepts donations of cash, check or credit/debit card. Please make sure you us leave your name and address so we can send you a letter for your taxes. There are donor information cards and envelopes in the lobby.

To Donate Online by Credit/Debit Card:
You can donate online using major credit/debit cards or with your Pay Pal account online by clicking on the icon below.

Does Blueberry accept Employer Matching Grants?
Yes. If you require assistance with an Employer Matching Grant form, please contact us at 914-914-923-3530.

Do you send donor acknowledgment letters for my tax return?
Yes. Each donor not matter the amount donated will be sent a letter acknowledging their gift as supporting documentation for their tax return. The IRS recognizes blueberry Pond as a 501(c)-(3) organization and your gifts are deductible as charitable contributions.

Will I be barraged by solicitations after this?
No. We do not sell or give out our donor list. Please see next question concerning anonymous donations.

Is my donation publicly acknowledged?
Yes unless you indicate you wish to be an anonymous donor. You will find a list of our individual donors on this web site by clicking on Donors. Please note that many search engines pick up names from these types of lists and include them in search results. If you do not want your name appearing in a search engine result you may want to consider becoming an anonymous donor.

How do I know you are a valid charity and how you use money?
The NY State Attorney General’s office maintains records for all charities operating in New York State. Blueberry is listed with NY State and files regular reports that are open to the public. To access New York State’s web site to verify charities, including Blueberry Pond, select http://fairchild.oag.state.ny.us/online_forms/search_charities.jsp. We also provide complete transparency by posting our financial reports and important legal documents. Does Blueberry Offer Major Donor Recognition?
Yes we offer special benefits and consideration to our donors at the “Friend” ($500 or more) level of giving, “Sponsor” level ($1,000 or more), “Patron” level ($2,000 or more), “Founder” level ($5,000 or more). These benefits include invitations to special events, exclusive opening night parties and chairs with a plaque for Sponsors and Donors. “Sustaining Founders” are eligible for invitation to join the Blueberry Board of Directors (subject to final Board approval). Does Blueberry Offer Memorial Chairs?
