Laylon Theater is located in Cedar Lane Park just off Route 9A in
the town of Ossining.
From Route 9A Northbound ONLY
After the exits for Route 133 and 134 in Ossining, watch CLOSELY
on your right for a street-sized exit sign for Cedar Lane.
Note a yellow sideways-T sign indicating a street coming in
on the right. This indicates the upcoming exit for Cedar
Lane.
Again, this is NOT a large exit sign. Take the Cedar Lane exit
on your right, turn left at the bottom of the ramp. After approximately
one-quarter mile turn left into Cedar Lane Park, marked by
a sign for the park and a blue mailbox with "235 Cedar
Lane" and "Blueberry Pond." Follow the park
road around the lake. Laylon Theater is the modern looking tan building
with the sloping roof by the lake. There is parking just beyond
the building.
Do NOT follow Mapquest for Route 9A South. It is not possible
to take a left onto Cedar Lane heading south.
Coming North from Tarrytown on Route 9:
Continue on Route 9 for about 2.3 miles. Take the Route 117 ramp
toward Pleasantville. Merge onto 117 North. Go about 2.7 miles,
then merge onto Route 9A north via the ramp on the LEFT. Go
approximately 5.5 miles. Follow directions above for Route
9A North.
From the Taconic Parkway Southbound
Take the Route 134 exit heading southwest (right turn), towards
Ossining. Take the second right onto Spring Valley Road. Continue
on Spring Valley Road past Teatown. Stay on Spring Valley winding
along for about three miles. As the road starts inclining down
you will be entering Ossining where Spring Valley changes its
name to Cedar Lane. Just past a good sized lake and St. Mary’s
Rehabilitation sign on your right, you will see the sign for
Cedar Lane Park and a blue “235 Cedar Lane, Blueberry
Pond” mailbox. (If you reach the intersection of Route
9A you have gone too far.) Turn into Cedar Lane Park.
Follow directions above to Laylon Theater parking.
From
Taconic Northbound, take exit for Route 9A/100 North. Stay
on 9A North, then as above for Route 9A North.
From Route 35 (CT and points west)
Route 35 West to Route 100 South to Route134 West, towards Ossining.
Follow directions from the Taconic, above.
From Stamford, CT area
Route 95 South or the Merritt Parkway South to Route 287 West,
to the Taconic Parkway North. Follow directions from the Taconic,
above.
From Route 684
Northbound: Take exit 4 - Mt. Kisco/Bedford. Head west on
Route 172 towards Mt. Kisco. Turn right onto Route 117 north.
Left onto 133. Right onto Seven Bridges Road at fourth traffic
light. Left onto 100 south. Right onto 134. Under Taconic overpass
and right onto Spring Valley, following directions from the
Taconic, above.
684 South: Take exit 6 and turn right on Route 35 West toward
Katonah. Follow Route 35 directions above.
From NYC:

By car, take the Henry Hudson North to the Saw Mill
Parkway North through Tarrytown to the Taconic Parkway North.
Exit onto Route 9A/100 North. Continue on Route 9A North. Follow
directions above for Route 9A North.

train, take Metro North Hudson Line to Croton-Harmon station.
There is a busy taxi stand with frequent service. Tell the taxi
to take you to Cedar Lane Park, on Cedar Lane just one quarter
mile past the Route 9A underpass. Fares should be between $6
and $7.
